Oregon rate proposal

In May 2026, we filed with the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC) a general rate case that includes an interim rate proposal. If approved, this proposal would result in a small rate adjustment for Oregon customers.

We're committed to keeping your energy bills low. These proposed rate adjustments aim to keep prices stable in 2026 with a modest increase in 2027 to support safe and reliable electric service.

On this page, learn more about the rate proposal and ways to help manage costs.

Upcoming changes to Oregon electricity rates

We understand that affordability is an ongoing concern for customers. As we strengthen the grid for safety and reliability, we’re putting in the work to keep costs down.

We're asking the OPUC to approve a plan that would keep bills stable through 2026 and deliver lower rates during the first half of 2027, while delaying a minimal rate increase until July 2027.

An interim rate increase allows for the full general rate case to be reviewed and approved by the OPUC while enabling the company to cover the costs of prudent investments that have been made. Because the interim rates would be fully offset by a separate rate decrease that began on May 1, residential bills would remain stable for the rest of 2026.

What does this mean for your bill?

Here's a breakdown of how your rates would look if Pacific Power's plan is approved by the Oregon Public Utility Commission:

Rest of 2026

Stable rates through the end of the year.

Residential customers would see zero net impact through the end of 2026.

First Half of 2027

Lower rates in the first half of 2027.

Average residential customer rates would go down by 2.3% in January 2027 and by a further 4.0% in April 2027.

July 2027

Minimal rate increase.

If the company's proposal is approved, the average residential rate would be 1.9% higher per month in July 2027 than in April 2026.
